Goa, Aug. 25 -- Residents of Davandem on Tuesday met the Margao Municipal Council (MMC) Chief Officer to seek an update on their long-pending issue.

Speaking after the meeting, resident Aleixo da Costa alleged that various government departments were working "hand in glove" and attempting to make residents move from one office to another without resolving the matter.

Da Costa said the residents had been pursuing the issue for the past eight months, but despite repeated efforts and representations, it remained unresolved.

He said the residents had now decided to approach the court and initiate legal action to pursue their demands and seek a resolution to the matter.
