Goa, May 2 -- Around 40 Indian boxers have been left in limbo after their names were omitted from a sanction letter issued by the Sports Authority of India for the national training camp, putting their chances of competing in the Commonwealth Games 2026 and Asian Games 2026 at risk.
Under the selection rules of the Boxing Federation of India, the top two finishers in each of the 20 weight divisions at the Chief of Army Staff Cup were to be inducted into the camp beginning April 25. These athletes were also meant to feature in the assessment trials that determine India's squads for major global events.
