India, April 7 -- Police from Curtorim have arrested Ajit Kumar Kattimani (34) in connection with an abduction case reported from Macazana.

According to investigators, the victim was allegedly kidnapped and taken to Karwar, where he was robbed of 3 lakh.

The probe has revealed that the crime was part of a planned conspiracy, with multiple individuals believed to be involved. Police said that while one accused has been apprehended, other suspects are currently absconding.

Efforts are underway to trace and arrest the remaining accused, as the investigation into the case continues.
