Goa, Oct. 9 -- Taking suo motu cognisance of an O Heraldo report high lighting the water shortage faced by residents of Cur chorem, the Goa Human Rights Commission (GHRC) on Thursday issued notices to the Chief Secretary and the Chief Executive Engi neer of the Department of Drinking Water, seeking their replies. The Commission took cognisance of the October 8 report, published under the headline, 'Curchorem residents spend sleepless nights to fill water', and di rected the officials to sub mit their replies before the Commission on October 16.
