India, March 26 -- Goa Director General of Police Alok Kumar has described the Curchorem case as "very sensitive," stressing the need for a careful and professional investigation.

The case has now been transferred to the Goa Crime Branch to ensure a thorough and confidential probe. Officials said the move is aimed at maintaining the integrity of the investigation while handling the matter with the required sensitivity.

The DGP also that protecting the identity of the minor victim remains the top priority, in line with legal provisions and child protection norms.

Authorities have assured that the investigation will be conducted with utmost discretion, with further details expected as the probe progresses.
