Goa, Sept. 4 -- A bus stop in Curchorem reportedly collapsed on Thursday due to its deteriorating condition, raising concerns over the safety of commuters and pedestrians.

Following the incident, locals have demanded immediate action on the Panzorconi and Digarpali-Dhovorlim bus stops, which they claim are also in a severely dilapidated condition.

According to residents, several pillars supporting the two bus shelters have broken down, raising fears that they too could collapse and cause injuries.

Locals have urged the authorities to either demolish and rebuild the unsafe bus stops or carry out urgent repairs to prevent any untoward incident.
