Cuncolim Residents Seek Urgent Safety Measures on NH-66, Demand Action Over Fatal Accident Stretch
Goa, Aug. 4 -- Residents of Cuncolim have submitted a memorandum to the Cuncolim Police Station seeking immediate safety measures and legal action against officials they allege are responsible for engineering flaws on the accident-prone stretch of National Highway 66 between the Cuncolim bus stand and Demani.
The citizens said the recent death of a retired Cuncolim Municipal Council employee was the third fatal accident reported on the stretch in the last three months, highlighting what they described as an alarming road safety situation.
