Cuncolim, Sept. 10 -- Cuncolim Police have seized the mobile phone of Malcolm Pereira in connection with the alleged assault of Chinchinim-Deussa Sarpanch Gerson Gomes at the village panchayat office.

The seizure forms part of the ongoing investigation into the alleged assault at the panchayat premises.

Police are examining the seized mobile phone as part of their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
