Goa, Oct. 29 -- Velim MLA Cruz Silva, along with local residents, has demanded the reinstatement of the 108 emergency ambulance unit at Balli Primary Health Centre (PHC), warning of street protests if the authorities fail to address their demand.

The emergency unit had been stationed at Balli for the past five to six years before being shifted to Navelim. The relocation has raised concerns among residents of Balli, Velim and Cuncolim, who depend on the ambulance service during medical emergencies.
