Goa, Aug. 19 -- The Pernem Forest Department successfully captured a crocodile at Warkhand after locals reported sightings of multiple crocodiles in the Warkhand-Veluwada area.

Locals had reportedly spotted between two and four crocodiles in the area, prompting the Forest Department to set a trap to capture the reptiles and address concerns among residents.

With the assistance of local Panchayat member Sabaji Parab, the forest team managed to successfully trap and capture one crocodile.

The coordinated efforts of the Pernem Forest Department, Panchayat members and villagers were appreciated for helping ensure the safety of residents while dealing with the presence of the reptiles in the area.
