Goa, Oct. 8 -- Cristiano Ronaldo could face a suspension of up to six months after leaving the Portugal national team camp during last month's international break, but an admission of fault could help the veteran forward avoid the maximum punishment.
Ronaldo left the Portugal squad after being named on the bench for the team's 4-2 win over Denmark in Copenhagen. He played only one of Portugal's Nations League matches during the three-week international window before departing the camp following a reported fallout with manager Jorge Jesus.
