Goa, July 25 -- Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) Working President Sunil Kawthankar has criticised the Goa government's decision to waive Rs.2 crore in electricity charges for the private Formula 4 racing event held at Manohar International Airport, Mopa.

Questioning the move, Kawthankar said public resources should not be utilised to subsidise a privately organised event. He alleged that the decision places an unnecessary financial burden on the public exchequer while extending benefits to private organisers.
