Goa, April 20 -- Congress leader Amit Palekar, along with activists Samil Volvoikar, S. Mariano Ferrao Balekar, and Shankar Polji, has filed a formal complaint against Gautam Khattar at the Old Goa Police Station.

The complaint pertains to alleged derogatory remarks made against St. Francis Xavier, which have sparked widespread outrage and concern among various sections of society.

The leaders have demanded strict action against Khattar, stating that such comments have hurt religious sentiments and could disrupt communal harmony in Goa. Authorities are expected to examine the complaint and take appropriate steps in accordance with the law.
