Goa, July 27 -- India's Jadumani Singh produced a commanding display to defeat Pakistan's Sumama Rehman 5-0 and book his place in the boxing quarterfinals at the Commonwealth Games, before dedicating the victory to the heroes of the Kargil War.
Competing at the SEC Centre in Glasgow on Kargil Vijay Diwas, the Indian Army boxer received loud support from the crowd, with chants of "Bharat Mata ki Jai" and "India, India" echoing around the arena. Jadumani responded with a composed and technically accomplished performance that left little room for his opponent to recover.
