Goa, Aug. 3 -- India ended the Commonwealth Games 2026 in fourth place with 39 medals. Despite a reduced 10-sport programme and the absence of key medal-winning disciplines, the country's performance reflected resilience and adaptability.

India wrapped up its campaign at the Commonwealth Games 2026 in Glasgow with a total of 39 medals, comprising 13 gold, 17 silver and nine bronze. While the tally marked the country's first finish below the 50-medal mark since the 1998 Kuala Lumpur Games, the numbers alone do not fully reflect the significance of the achievement.
