Goa, May 1 -- Two members of Sri Lanka's Under-19 men's cricket team have been granted bail by the Colombo Magistrate's Court after their arrest in connection with allegations of secretly filming individuals at a hotel in Narahenpita. The court reportedly released the players on two sureties of LKR 500,000 each after they were produced before the magistrate.
The case came to light following complaints from women staying at Hotel Janaki, who alleged they were filmed without consent while inside a bathroom area. Authorities, as reported by Sri Lankan media outlets and ESPNcricinfo, stated that the investigation is still in progress and no final conclusions have been reached.
