Goa, Nov. 6 -- Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has warned panchayats and municipal authorities against delaying the issuance of Mhaje Ghar certificates for houses constructed before 1972, cautioning that strict action will be taken against officials who fail to comply with the prescribed timelines.

To speed up the regularisation process, Sawant has set a three-day deadline for completing the procedure. He stated that Deputy Collectors must issue Sanad certificates within 24 to 48 hours, following which Panchayat Secretaries are required to directly issue regularisation certificates.
