Goa, Nov. 2 -- Goa Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant has called for a revision of financial grants provided to non-governmental organisations, noting that funding levels have remained unchanged for over a decade. Highlighting the need to increase financial support, he urged local NGOs to embrace modern technology, broaden their scope of operations, and raise service standards. CM Sawant cautioned that if Goa's home-grown NGOs fail to modernise and step up their efforts, non-local organisations will move into the state, establish their own operations, and take over community work.
