Goa, Nov. 2 -- Goa Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant has praised NGOs registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, saying all registered organisations in the state are doing exceptional work. He said his government had taken the initiative to recognise their contributions through the concerned department, unlike previous administrations. Sawant also highlighted Sai Life Care, an organisation he founded in 1993, which works for HIV patients, drivers, Anganwadi counselling, libraries and other social causes. He said the organisation has continued its services without interruption since its establishment.
