Goa, Aug. 14 -- Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant flagged off 46 vehicles dedicated to highway policing in Goa, strengthening the state's road safety and enforcement infrastructure.

Senior police officers described the allocation as a significant milestone, stating that it is the largest number of vehicles provided to the Goa Police Department in a single go since its inception.

The new vehicles are expected to enhance police mobility and improve patrolling and response capabilities along Goa's highways, particularly in addressing traffic violations, accidents and other road-related emergencies.
