CM Pramod Sawant Announces ID Cards for Goan Fishermen, Fish Vendors in Trade for Over 15 Years
Goa, July 9 -- Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has announced that the Goa Government will issue identity cards to Goan fishermen and fish vendors who have been engaged in the trade for more than 15 years, with the aim of safeguarding local livelihoods and preserving the state's traditional fishing occupation.
Speaking on the initiative, Sawant said the move is intended to protect those who have been dependent on the fishing sector for years and to ensure that Goans continue to have a strong presence in the trade.
