Goa, Oct. 7 -- Chief Justice of India Surya Kant on Wednesday said the Supreme Court will examine and take a call on an application seeking recall of its order referring the challenge to the 2023 law governing the appointment of the Chief Election Commissioner and Election Commissioners to a Constitution bench.

The plea was filed by Naman Sherstra, one of the petitioners challenging the validity of the CEC & ECs (Appointment, Conditions of Service and Term of Office) Act, 2023. It seeks recall of the September 23 order passed by a bench of Justices Dipankar Datta and Satish Chandra Sharma.
