Chicalim Residents Demand Removal of Illegal Vendors, Raise Safety and Sanitation Concerns
Goa, July 22 -- Residents of Chicalim have demanded the removal of illegal permanent vendors operating in the village's residential area, alleging that several have encroached upon spaces designated exclusively for movable hand carts.
During a meeting, villagers pointed out that while the designated vending zones were intended only for hand carts, a number of vendors had allegedly erected permanent structures, causing inconvenience to residents and obstructing the area's intended use.
The residents also expressed concern over what they described as a growing public nuisance in the locality. They alleged incidents of eve teasing, illegal parking of taxi vehicles on public roads, open urination, accumulation of garbage and poor sanitation...
