Goa, May 26 -- Fr Bolmax Pereira, the Parish Priest of Chicalim and a well-known social activist, passed away at the Goa Medical College (GMC) after suffering a heart attack on Saturday.

According to sources, Fr Pereira had collapsed at the Vasco Railway Station while preparing to leave for a picnic trip on Saturday morning. He was immediately rushed for medical treatment, but later succumbed at GMC.

Fr Pereira was widely respected for his service to the Church and his active involvement in various social causes. News of his sudden demise has sent shockwaves across Chicalim and surrounding areas, with many expressing grief over the loss of a dedicated priest and community leader.
