Centre Plans Biggest NTA Overhaul After NEET Row, 47 Officials Removed: Sources
Goa, July 24 -- The Centre is preparing what could be the most extensive overhaul of the National Testing Agency (NTA) since its establishment, following the controversy surrounding the NEET-UG examination. According to government sources, nearly 47 officials have been removed as part of a large-scale restructuring exercise aimed at restoring confidence in the country's examination system.
The NTA, which conducts between 15 and 20 national-level entrance examinations annually, including NEET-UG, JEE Main and the Common University Entrance Test (CUET), is expected to undergo significant administrative, structural and technological reforms over the coming month.
