Goa, July 29 -- As protests led by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan intensified in New Delhi last week, the Centre reportedly proposed transferring Pradhan to another ministry in an attempt to break the deadlock.

According to sources, the proposal was conveyed to CJP representatives during talks held with Union Ministers JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh, who were tasked with engaging the protesters.

The first round of discussions took place on July 20 at Nadda's residence, coinciding with a large-scale police crackdown on demonstrators participating in the Parliament march organised by the CJP in the national capital.
