Goa, June 22 -- The Centre has issued a notification for the acquisition of an additional 8,863 square metres of land in Bhoma and Kundai for the proposed Bhoma-Old Goa four-lane road project. Affected landowners have been given 21 days to submit objections or claims related to the acquisition. The notification marks another step forward in the highway expansion project, which aims to improve connectivity between Bhoma and Old Goa. Authorities will examine any objections received before moving ahead with the acquisition process. The additional land requirement is expected to facilitate the execution of the infrastructure project and support planned road widening works in the area.
