Goa, Oct. 5 -- The Kerala government has ordered a fresh Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (VACB) probe into allegations linked to a 2006 Kerala State Transport Project case involving former state PWD Secretary and current Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.

Kerala Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala directed the vigilance inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the case, which dates back to the period when Kumar was serving as PWD Secretary.

The matter relates to the 2006 death by suicide of Malaysian project official Lee See Been. Reports have previously stated that Been's suicide note allegedly referred to Kumar. The fresh investigation will examine the allegations as well as claims that the earlier probe may have been infl...
