CBI Arrests Pune Professor as Alleged 'Kingpin' in NEET Paper Leak Case Affecting 23 Lakh Students
Goa, May 16 -- The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has claimed a major breakthrough in the NEET examination paper leak case by arresting a Pune-based chemistry professor alleged to be the mastermind behind the conspiracy that impacted nearly 23 lakh students across the country.
According to the agency, professor PV Kulkarni was taken into custody on Friday and identified as the primary source of the leak. Investigators said Kulkarni had access to the NEET question papers through his role in the examination process conducted on behalf of the National Testing Agency (NTA), and allegedly misused that access to leak questions to students.
