Goa, May 28 -- The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday arrested Giribala Singh, the mother-in-law of Twisha Sharma, in connection with the alleged dowry death case in Bhopal. The arrest came a day after the Madhya Pradesh High Court cancelled her anticipatory bail and directed that she no longer be granted interim protection in the matter.

According to officials, a CBI team reached Singh's residence around 10:30 am and conducted several hours of questioning. She was formally taken into custody at approximately 5:10 pm after sustained interrogation and preliminary investigation procedures.
