CAVELOSSIM, Nov. 4 -- Cavelossim Sarpanch Dixon Vaz has raised concerns over the alleged illegal destruction of a village sand dune at Survey No. 99/2E by Ashford SCDC Resort.

Addressing the media, Vaz said the Cavelossim panchayat had already issued a stop-work notice to the resort. However, he alleged that work was continuing at the site despite the notice.

Vaz further stated that the panchayat had submitted two requests to the Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) authorities seeking an inspection of the site to assess the alleged destruction. However, no inspection has been conducted so far, he claimed.
