Goa, April 18 -- The Village Panchayat Cavelossim has stepped in to assist a local family by repairing a severely damaged house roof in Cavelossim, ahead of the approaching monsoon season.

The initiative was undertaken for the family of Thomas Passanha from Tibet Passos, whose house roofing was in a deteriorated condition and posed a serious risk during heavy rains.

Speaking on the effort, Sarpanch Dixon Vaz said that this is one of several homes repaired by the panchayat for residents belonging to weaker sections of society. He expressed satisfaction over the work and assured that such initiatives would continue in the future.
