Goa, Oct. 5 -- Traditional fishermen from Canaguinim, Fatorpa, have appealed to local MLA Alton D'Costa and government authorities to remove stones that have fallen onto the beach following the collapse of an old retaining wall.

The fishermen said the stones scattered along the shoreline are creating difficulties for their traditional fishing activities, with nets frequently getting caught on the debris and sustaining damage.

They said the damage to their nets is resulting in financial losses and adding to the challenges faced by the local fishing community.
