Calangute, June 17 -- The Biodiversity Management Committee of the Village Panchayat Calangute organised a tree plantation and paddy seed distribution programme on Tuesday morning near Dolphin Circle, close to St. Alex Church, as part of its efforts to promote environmental conservation and support local agriculture.

The event was attended by Calangute MLA Michael Lobo, the Calangute Sarpanch, other dignitaries, and a large number of local residents, who actively participated in the initiative.

During the programme, nearly 125 saplings were planted along the roadside stretch from Dolphin Circle to Palmarinha, enhancing the area's green cover and reinforcing the village's commitment to sustainable environmental practices.
