Goa, July 29 -- With the deadline for filing Income Tax Returns (ITR) fast approaching, a chartered accountant's account of a high-earning client facing a cash crunch has gone viral on social media.

Chartered accountant Pratibha Goyal shared on X (formerly Twitter) that she recently filed the ITR of a young IIT graduate who has reportedly been earning an annual salary package of more than Rs.1 crore for the past five years.

According to Goyal, the client also owns three residential properties, with two of them currently under construction. Despite the impressive income and real estate investments, the client reportedly did not have enough liquid funds to clear an outstanding income tax liability of Rs.15,000.
