Goa, Sept. 2 -- A bus shelter near Shivaji Circle, Curchorem, collapsed at around 6.30 am on Wednesday, reportedly due to heavy rainfall and the weight of overgrown vegetation on its roof.

One commuter who was waiting for a bus bound for Sanguem sustained minor injuries in the incident.

Local residents immediately rushed to assist the injured commuter and have urged the authorities to remove the debris and ensure the area is made safe for commuters.

Authorities have been requested to inspect the site and take necessary measures to prevent similar incidents.
