Goa, Nov. 5 -- The High Court of Bombay at Goa has quashed decisions by the North Goa District Election Officer and the Chief Electoral Officer rejecting Form-8 applications of six St Cruz residents. The petitioners' applications for updating address details were turned down during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) drive, resulting in their names being omitted from the draft electoral roll. Overruling objections from the Election Commission, the High Court directed the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) to immediately include the names of all six petitioners in the electoral rolls.
