Goa, June 15 -- The body of 38-year-old Umesh Shirodkar, who was feared to have drowned while shell fishing in Diwar, was recovered on Monday morning following an extensive search operation.

A resident of Chodan, Shirodkar had reportedly entered the water along with four others at around 4 am to collect shellfish when he went missing under unexplained circumstances.

His disappearance prompted an immediate search and rescue operation by the concerned authorities. After several hours of efforts, rescue teams recovered his body from the water on Monday morning.
