Goa, Aug. 19 -- The Council for Social Justice and Peace (CSJP) and the Catholic As sociation of Goa (CAG) have urged Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge to con tinue opposing the pro posed Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Amendment Bill, 2026, warning that its provisions could adversely affect minority institutions and organisations serving the poor and vulnerable. The organisations sub mitted a joint memorandum to Kharge, appreciating the Congress stand in Parliament against the Bill and its sup port for referring the legisla tion to a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC).
