Goa, Oct. 12 -- BJP Goa Pradesh Mahila Morcha members staged a protest outside the former BJP head office in Panaji on Monday, demanding the immediate resignation of Inner Manipur Congress MP Angomcha Bimol Akoijam on moral grounds. The demonstration follows sexual harassment allegations and reports regarding his dismissal from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). Carrying banners and raising slogans, the protesters questioned the silence of the Congress leadership on the issue. Demonstrators cited the serious allegations and official findings as clear justification for his resignation.
