Bihar Govt Withdraws FIRs Against NEET Protesters, Orders Release Of Detainees
Goa, July 27 -- The Bihar government on Monday announced that it will withdraw all FIRs registered against protesters arrested during last week's demonstrations over the NEET (UG) issue, offering relief to hundreds detained following the statewide agitation.
In a notification issued by the Home Department, the government said the decision applies to all cases registered up to 6 pm on July 26, a day after the protests. It added that all those arrested within this period would be released and no further legal action would be taken against them.
