Goa, June 16 -- The Bicholim Police have apprehended a 20-year-old individual from Uttar Pradesh for allegedly committing sexual assault against a 15-year-old girl (name and other details withheld), which resulted in her pregnancy. The suspect had fled the state but was located and arrested in UP following a coordinated effort.The police reported that the incident came to light on June 8, 2026, when the minor victim experienced severe abdominal pain and was taken to the Community Health Centre (CHC) Bicholim, where she gave birth to a baby boy. She was later transferred to the District Hospital in Mapusa for additional medical treatment. Subsequently, the victim's father filed an official complaint.
