Goa, June 27 -- A unique literary initiative aimed at securing a place in the India Book of Records got underway in Bicholim on Friday as poet Dattaprasad Jog began a non-stop 24-hour poetry recitation marathon.

The event, organised by Pandit Deendayal Shikshan Sanstha under the banner of Jog's literary initiative 'Kavyajog', seeks to promote the art of poetry, encourage emerging poets, and offer literature enthusiasts a rare experience of continuous poetry recitation.
