Goa, May 18 -- A Bhopal court on Monday rejected the anticipatory bail plea of lawyer Samarth Singh, who has been accused of physically and mentally abusing his wife, Twisha Sharma, before her death. Sharma, a resident of Noida and a former Miss Pune winner, was recently found dead at her marital home in Bhopal under suspicious circumstances.

According to police officials, an FIR has been registered at Katara Hills police station against Singh and his mother, Giribala Singh, in connection with alleged dowry harassment and domestic abuse. Authorities stated that Samarth Singh is currently evading arrest as investigations continue.
