Goa, July 16 -- Dr. Haushela Prakash Sharma, National President of the Bharatiya Rashtriya Mazdoor Sangh, paid a goodwill visit to the ongoing sit-in protest at Karapur and interacted with the agitators. Having arrived directly from Mumbai, Dr. Sharma discussed the issues and demands of the protesters with them.

Speaking to reporters, Dr. Sharma said, "Goa is a state rich in natural beauty; this natural splendor is Goa's true identity. Under these circumstances, it is not appropriate to bring large-scale projects to Goa that harm the environment. If nature is to be destroyed in the name of development, the government should seriously reconsider such projects."
