Goa, Oct. 13 -- A woman from Benaulim was allegedly cheated of Rs.1,68,798 in an online task scam involving WhatsApp and Telegram between July 31 and September 22, 2026. The complainant was allegedly lured into completing online tasks after initially receiving payments for her work. The unknown accused subsequently induced her to transfer money for additional tasks by promising further profits. The alleged fraud came to light after the woman transferred the amount over the course of the scheme.
