Goa, April 12 -- The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has launched an inquiry into Rajasthan Royals team manager Romi Bhinder for a potential breach of Indian Premier League (IPL) dugout protocols. The issue arose after Bhinder was seen using a mobile phone in the Players and Match Officials Area (PMOA) during a match on April 10, while seated next to Vaibhav Suryavanshi.
Under IPL regulations, while certain officials such as team managers and doctors are permitted to carry mobile devices, their usage remains strictly controlled within designated areas. The incident quickly gained attention after visuals circulated online.
