Goa, July 4 -- The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is reportedly planning to involve some of its current and recently retired stars in coaching and development roles, with veteran wicketkeeper-batter Mushfiqur Rahim emerging as a leading candidate.

According to Cricbuzz, the BCB is keen to offer Mushfiqur a coaching role once he retires from all forms of cricket, provided he is interested. The move follows the board's decision to appoint former Bangladesh captain Mahmudullah as the batting coach of the Bangladesh A team for its tour of Australia. Mahmudullah has also been named mentor of the Bangladesh Under-19 side.
