Goa, May 16 -- Bandi Sanjay Kumar's son, Bandi Bhageerath, surrendered before police in connection with a Pocso case after the Cyberabad police issued a look-out circular to prevent him from leaving the country. The case was registered based on a complaint filed by the mother of a 17-year-old girl alleging sexual harassment.

The Union Minister said he handed over his son through lawyers out of respect for the law and judiciary. He maintained that his son repeatedly denied wrongdoing and claimed the family initially delayed surrender after legal advisers reportedly assured them that the case could be dismissed and bail would likely be granted.
