Goa, June 8 -- An elderly couple lost their lives following a tragic road accident in Bambolim after a car allegedly crashed into the scooter they were travelling on.

The victims have been identified as 79-year-old Salvador Remezio Fernandes and 65-year-old Paulina Fatima Fernandes. According to preliminary information, the couple was riding on a scooter when a car allegedly struck them from behind, resulting in a serious collision.

The impact of the crash left both victims with grievous injuries. Emergency assistance was rushed to the scene and the couple was provided medical treatment. However, despite efforts by doctors and emergency responders, both succumbed to their injuries.
